2025/2026 Season Information
Season Kick Off
The 2025/2026 starts on September 1, 2025 with an exciting year ahead for the Fort Hunt Warriors. This page includes all relevant details for the season.
Season Goal
We have an ambitious goal for this season: winning a national championship. Every step and action we take is done with that goal in mind.
Registration
Schedule
The 2025/2026 season will have four distinct periods:
- Fall Skills and Weight Training (September - November): Players should use this period to continue individual skills training and weight training (we also acknowledge players have other sports as well to supplement training). There will also be limited skills practices put on by Fort Hunt coaches throughout the Fall. (Schedule forthcoming.)
- Pre-season (December - January): Warriors workouts will begin in early December with twice weekly workouts, a weekend workout ”camp” (early January) and film review. This is a critical time for players to get ready for the the season.
- Regular Season (February - May): Our main season starts in earnest with early season matches against the best teams in country, our Rugby Virginia matrix matches, Club Trip to Spain (more details below) and culminating with State and National Championships in May.
- Summer 7s: We will have another fun summer 7s season with workouts, fun competition and other team building.
International Trip - Spring Break 2026
Our team trip this year will take us to Spain for 10-day cultural and rugby tour. We will have full details by the end of September.
Road Warriors Needed
Our parent volunteer network is known as the Road Warriors. We will host a parent introduction meeting in late September To outline our approach to supporting the operational needs of the club.
Player Volunteering
Part of building a strong program is elevating our players’ contributions to our community in ways big and small. We will have a number of specific volunteer opportunities for players throughout the season.
